Layers of the Earth
This week we have been looking at the layers of the earth and thinking about how mountains are formed through the movement of the tectonic plates. The children had great fun creating their plasticine models, but even more fun watching them be sliced open to reveal the layers.
Everest Poetry
This week we have used adjectives, similes, metaphors and personification to create descriptive poetry about Mount Everest. They are all very proud of their work.
Realistic leaf drawing
The children have been exploring how to draw life-like tropical leaves and then shade them in to show light and shadows. They have produced some amazing artwork - well done.
'Snack'tember Workshop
Class 3 had a great time trying all the different fruits, vegetables and salads. They are still talking about their favourite healthy food today! Everyone is looking forward to trying the healthy cookies they made, which are baking away.
Everest
Class 3 are enjoying finding out about Mount Everest and the climbers who face the challenge to reach the summit.
